Baku City Circuit is a street circuit laid through the heart of a capital on the Caspian shore: 6.003 km and twenty corners that trade the open boulevards of the seafront for the narrow lanes of the old walled city. The drawing reads like a city map with a racing line through it — long, straight avenues joined by sharp right angles, then a sudden knot of tight turns where the lap squeezes past the medieval walls.
The signature is the Castle Section, where the track climbs and threads a gap barely wider than a car between ancient stone and modern barriers, before the lap opens into one of the longest flat-out runs anywhere, sweeping back along the waterfront to the line. Reduced to clean geometry, it is a layout of extremes — cramped and wide open on the same sheet — and a striking piece for a wall that likes contrast.
